














































Narrative by slides - the story in the simplest form
It’s Family Day at Magic Academy and Sterling is showing his family around the school. When showing his family the Teleportation Room, a goblin emerges from a portal and steals the teleportation crystal. With the help of Headmaster Vroomus, Sterling and his family are on a mission to get the crystal back and send the goblin back home.
Slides 1 - 7: Lesson introduction. Warm up activities about introducing family (mum, dad, grandpa, grandma).
Slide 9-15: Story introduction – we look around the school and a goblin steals a crystal which Sterling and his family must retrieve.
Slides 15 - 25: The Portrait gallery – the goblin has graffitied the portrait gallery. Using “Is s/he” and “Are they…” and negatives.
Slide 26 - 37: Scooby Doo doors – the goblin disguises himself as family members and we must determine who is the real family member.
Slides 39 - 41: Magic Mirror Mischief – Who is it? We must identify who is in the reflection.
Slides 42 - 43: Lesson reflections and congratulations for the mission.
Slides 44 - 46: Goodbye slides and extension activity.


Narrative by slides - the story in the simplest form
A goblin has stolen Mr Vroomus' magic wand. Sterling and his family must go on a mission to catch him and get the wand back. Casting spells along the way, the goblin isn’t going to make it easy for them!
Slides 1-5: Warm up activities and story introduction.
Slides 6-16: Banana bonanza – the goblin casts a spell filling the family member’s mouths with bananas. Sterling must guess the magic words through only their body language. (Jumping, hopping, flying, texting).
Slides 18-26: Sterling and his family follow the goblin into the disco room. They must do the same actions to break the ceiling and make the goblin fall down. Using negatives “He’s not ……… ing”.
Slides 19-35: The Broken Mirror – Sterling and his family have to fix the mirror by correcting the broken reflection.
Slides 36-40: Goodbye slides and extension activity.
