Narrative by slides: the story in the simplest possible form

Dive into a cosmic adventure where a secret impostor from space has stolen Planet Exciting! Bored of his dull home, Planet Boring, the impostor has set up a series of thrilling challenges for our magic school characters.

Grammar: was/were (past tense) Vocabulary: countries and weather, boring, exciting, busy, quiet Secondary vocabulary: adverbs of sequence (first, next, then, finally) Speaking: What do you think? Do you agree?

Slides 1-3: Welcome, sound activation, lesson introduction and warm-up.

Slides 4-9: Story introduction (Planet Exciting disappears. Evil genius imposter, Zog, took it because he was tired of Planet Boring) and discussion using 'was/were', weather vocabulary and opinion questions.

Slides 10-14: Mission introduction (an emergency meeting is held to decide what to do - we must complete the challenges to beat Zog and win back Planet Exciting), along with multiple choice quiz and word chain game.

Slides 15-17: Pop-up questions on Planet Boring.

Slide 18: Game show (match the clues to the countries to win ingredients).

Slides 19-21: Magic spell using adverbs of sequence.

Slides 22-24: Moon and sun team game (miss the black holes by answering the questions).

Slides 25-29: Cast a spell to make Planet Boring exciting!

Slides 30-35: Mission completion, lesson evaluation, extension activities.
